Rental Property Improvement Programs

The City of Rock Island is offering a repayable loan program to qualified rental property owners to eliminate code violations and make other system repairs or replacement. The maximum loan is $5,000 per owner.

In 2004, the City of Rock Island created a rental residential inspection program. The purpose of the program is to provide for the licensing and inspection of rental residential property to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the people of the city. The Rental Property Improvement Program was created in response to this new ordinance.
