And when it comes to home choices, our housing selection is as varied as our population. Here, you’ll find contemporary family homes, classic renovations, hip, downtown lofts and new subdivisions. Add to this our incredible parks and recreation choices, fabulous libraries, and an innovative school system -- and you have the foundation for a rock solid, Rock Island lifestyle.

"I met my wife at Augustana College, and we decided that this was a lifestyle that was for us. In Rock Island, you can find a house that you can live in, in a neighborhood that’s safe, in an area that you want to bring up your kids, with a quality education. The area enjoys diversity of its population, and that’s one of the things that sold us. Rock Island provides us with activities that we can take our entire family to. It’s small enough that you can meet people that you know every day, but large enough in that you can have a variety of activities to get engaged in. What more would you ask from a community?"
