Brian Hollenback, President
Brian has over twenty-five years of housing development, mortagage lending, and construction finance industries. Brian serves as the chief executive officer for DARI, GROWTH, and The District. Brian started as the Housing Director in 1998, became the Executive Director of GROWTH in 2003, and the President in 2008. Through Brian's initiatives GROWTH has become a national leader in community-based development corporations and has secured a positive reputation for its ability to develop innovative projects by convening and facilitating work among various community partners. Renaissance Rock Island has established a public-private partnership that is second to none. Through this partnership, over $80 million dollars in local investment over the last ten years has changed the face of Rock Island one block at a time. In addition to many local community organizations, Mr. Hollenback has served on several regional and national commissions including: Illinois Affordable Housing Task Force, National City Community Development Corporation’s Advisory Board, Vice Chair of Illinois Housing Council's Legislative Committee, Chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago Community Investment Advisory Council, and Freddie Mac’s Underwriting Barrier’s Outreach Group. Cheryl Schaubroeck, Fiscal Director
Cheryl has been with Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation since 1982 and has over twenty years experience in fiscal administration. As the Fiscal Director, Cheryl is responsible for preparing the annual budget, assisting in the annual audit, and administering funds. Contact Cheryl at cheryl@teamrockisland.com.
Jennifer Fowler, Community Marketing Director
Jennifer began working for Renaissance Rock Island as the Marketing Director of The District in 1997, and then went on to become Executive Director. In those roles she produced special events downtown and served as the Main Street manager working with downtown businesses. She was promoted to Community Marketing Director, a unique position that markets the city, schools, community, and Renaissance Rock Island in January 2004. Jennifer is responsible for marketing, communications, and advertising, including the management of this web site. Kristi Ramirez, Housing Director
Kristi has over twenty years banking experience. As a CRA Officer and the areas only designated affordable lender she helped create the first homebuyer workshop program, was involved in the first grant pilot programs, and assisted in the creation of the Freddie Mac Alliance Community as a founding member. She joined GROWTH's staff in January 2003. Kristi is a board member of the Quad City Rental Properties Association. As Housing Director, she is responsible for administering the homebuyer program. Lisa Ahern, Program Support Specialist
Lisa joined the team in March 2007 in this part-time position. Lisa has extensive experience in the areas of community planning, grantwriting, and financial analysis. She has worked for both local governments and nonprofit organizations, giving her a unique perspective on community planning. Joe Euchner, Rehab Specialist
Joe has been in and around the construction industry for more than fifteen years. He has been a rehab specialist with GROWTH since 2000. Joe coordinates multiple job sites and project developments. Contact Joe at joe@teamrockisland.com.
Catherine Rodgers-Ingles, Special Events Director
Catherine joined The District in 2005, bringing her expertise from planning riverfront events in Peoria. She was manager of the CEFCU Center Stage at The Landing, the leading outdoor concert venue in Peoria. She is excited to bring thousands of people downtown during the busy festival season. Carl McClaskey, Special Events Coordinator
Carl moved back to the Quad Cities (from LA) and joined the team in 2008. Carl worked for two years as a Junior Publicist for Columbia Tri-Star Television where he worked closely with Game Show Network and various syndicated programs. He was also instrumental in creating and building The Highlands Nightclub & Restaurant, a nightclub, special event venue, and Wolfgang Puck inspired restaurant in Hollywood. Bethany Diedrich, Office Support Specialist

Carey Jorgensen, Property Manager
Carey brings many years of management experience to downtown Rock Island. As Property Manager for Ludwig and Company she oversees lofts in three unique historical buildings known as the Goldman Lofts, Renaissance Lofts, and the Sala Flats.
